“When you don’t cover up the world with words and labels, a sense of the miraculous returns to your life that was lost a long time ago when humanity, instead of using thought, became possessed by thought.”
– Eckhart Tolle
Dreaming the Impossible
When we reclaim our childlike sense of wonder, awe and curiosity the world becomes a miraculous habitat for self-expression, creativity and connecting to the sacred.
How do we get ourselves into a state of wonder? I suggest we practice dreaming the impossible, like the queen in Alice and Wonderland, and train ourselves to be astonished by the beauty surrounding us.
“Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious.”
– Stephen Hawking
I invite you this month to make wonder a practice and let it lead you into the mystery of being itself. Who would you be if you committed yourself to not knowing, but wondering?
